The staff was super friendly and the single room had a mind-blowingly big bed. The hotel had an amazing alsacian restaurant vibe with a delicious breakfast and jaw-dropping cordon bleu dinner. The location in a Bavarian-like town was perfect for our stopover to Italy. The whole experience was fantastic, with warm welcomes, adequate room, superb meal options, and artwork-filled dining area. We loved it so much, we extended our stay for an extra night. Free parking, wi-fi, and flat-screen TV were available, and no pets were allowed.

The room at A La Maison Rouge Hotel & Restaurant was absolutely stunning! I couldn't stop gazing at the beautiful view of the Kirchberg vineyards and the picturesque town. Plus, the free WiFi was a great addition for keeping up with my social media updates.
I personally found the en-suite bathroom a bit small, but others might not mind.

I absolutely loved the charming decor of the hotel! The furniture and decorations had a beautiful vintage feel, making me feel like I was in a cozy, old-fashioned home. The general areas, such as the outdoor terrace, were well-maintained and provided a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. As a senior, I also appreciated how accessible the hotel was, with easy elevator access and spacious hallways that were perfect for strolling.
I would have liked to see more activities or amenities specifically tailored for senior guests. It would have been wonderful to have some organized tours or activities that catered to our needs and interests.

The breakfast was mind-blowing and a great bang for my buck. The breathtaking beauty and tranquility of the surrounding countryside in Barr made my stay jaw-dropping. The staff and locals were super friendly, but knowing some French or German was crucial. The restaurant was top-notch, serving up incredible meals that were individual, well-presented, and had portions that were out of this world. The hotel itself was squeaky clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed, including free Wi-Fi, convenient free parking, and a flat-screen TV. Plus, no pets allowed, which was a bonus for me.

I absolutely adored the beautiful decor of the hotel. The vintage furniture and delicate floral patterns throughout the common areas made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The hotel's terrace was my favorite spot, with its lovely view of the bustling pedestrian street below. It was a perfect place to relax and people-watch. , I appreciated that the hotel had convenient accessibility for senior people. The stairs were wide and sturdy, and there were handrails available to assist with walking. It made getting around the hotel much easier for someone like me.
If there was one thing that could make this hotel even better for senior vacationers, it would be to have more attentive staff. While the children working there were polite, I felt that they could have been more helpful and attentive to the needs of older guests.
